Taking Care of Yourself- Ratoath celebrates International Day of Action for Women’s Health
An event tailored for women, called ‘Taking Care of Me’ takes place in the Venue Theatre, Ratoath, on Sunday 26th May 2019. Created by the team of ladies behind Lilly’s Pharmacy, all proceeds will be donated to the charity Meath Women’s Refuge & Support Services. The event takes place ahead of International Day of Action for Women’s Health with informative talks, interactive workshops, interviews, and much more, to address a variety of health issues and interests for women of all ages.

Attending the launch, Sinead Smith, CEO, Meath Women’s Refuge & Support Services, said: “Having a central agency responsible for a unified response to address domestic, sexual and gender-based violence is a long overdue and important development for Ireland."
Meath Women’s Refuge & Support Services are the latest charity to partner with Leinster Rugby for the 2023/24 season and will work with the club for the month of January.
A new report from Trinity College Dublin evaluating a child-centred and trauma informed project to support children in refuge from domestic violence at Meath Women’s Refuge and Support Services was launched today to coincide with World Children’s Day. The study represents the first time that research has been conducted in Ireland with children in refuge. The report was launched by Ombudsman for Children, Dr. Niall Muldoon.
